If you are just starting travel nursing, or you have been a travel nurse for years, you might want to consider getting a credit card. Certain cards have certain perks. Some cards give you access to exclusive airport lounges all around the world. Some cards cover your rental car insurance. Some cards extend warranties on warrantied items. Certain cards have perks that appeal to a wide variety of lifestyles. In the world of travel nursing you are most likely spending money on travel related expenses. Some cards multiply the kickbacks for travel related expenses. Personally I have a Chase Saphire Reserve card. I have had it for 3 years, and it has more than paid itself off each year. I have purchased the laptop I am writing this paragraph with, and a cell phone as a gift for a friend, with points acquired through spending that would have happened anyway. Chase Saphire Reserve comes with quite a hefty fee, however its benefits are slightly better than most so depending on your spending habits you may chose a no fee card, or card with an annual fee. Use these links to educate yourself on the different perks, and make the best choice for you.
